all-star Tutoring & reading camp
All-Star Tutoring for 3rd-5th Grade Students will be held once a week during Camp Rock starting October 16th & 17th Monday or Tuesday; each session will last for 40 minutes. The students will be working on gaining reading and/or math skills, and learning test-taking strategies by working on educational websites. With the help of a devoted tutor, they will learn to set goals, which earns them Rock Bucks that can be redeemed for prizes or items from The Rock's Coffee House, Soda Fountain, or Skate Shop. Their good attendance will be rewarded with a dinner and games at Incredible Pizza in Tulsa at the end of the semester.
Tutoring Parent Meeting will be Mon. Oct 9th & Tues. Oct 10th at 5:45 pm in the Joyce Bond Education Center, 309 W. Hensley Bvld.
All-Star Reading Club is two days a week, Monday OR Tuesday, and Thursday. The students will be working on gaining reading skills through hands on manipulatives, online activities, and reading instruction at their level in order to gain new skills.
